General questions

Q: Do you speak german? (Sprichst du deutsch?)

A: Yes because I'm german. (Ja ich spreche deutsch, da ich sowieso Deutscher bin.)

Q: Why don't you use your voice in your videos? / How do you look like?

A: I'm sorry but I don't want to reveal myself on the internet. This includes my voice as well and that's why I use that much text in my videos. I hope you still enjoy them.

Q: Where do you get that music from?/ What's the song's name?

A: The name of the songs I use in my videos are always linked and named in the video description.

Creating custom cards questions

Q: Can you script my cards/Can you script cards of...?

A: No. I get that question a lot. At least once a week. If I would say always yes, I wouldn't have freetime anymore. So I say "No" to everyone no matter who asks. I hope you understand. If you want to learn how to make your own cards click here. If you still want someone to script your cards you can also ask someone on the custom card discord server.

Q: I watched your tutorial but I have still problems scripting cards. Can you help me?

A: Yes. Just ask me on youtube in the comments and write me your effect text and script lines and I will take a look at it.

Q: Where do you get the images for your custom cards?

A: Google picture search, other card games like "Rage of Bahamut", "Cardfight Vanguard" ect. and sites like "Deviantart".

Q: Can I send you my cards for your subscriber special? And how do I do that?

A: Yes you can. Everything is explained here.

Custom cards tournaments questions

Q: What are the rules of that tournament? What program do I need?

A: Both can be found on my discord server in the "rules_downloads" channel.

Q: When does the tournament start?

A: When players have finished their decks and time to play and I can be online too for being the judge and filming the duel for making a video out of it. There is no real deadline. This also means that the tournament isn't just on one day. This makes it a lot easier for me to organize everything and also gives players from different time zones the option to be still part of the tournament. There is always a current status shown in the "participants_and_waiting_list" channel, which shows who has finished building their decks and is ready for a duel as well who already dueled and the winning results. Of course you shouldn't take "too" long for being ready otherwise I will chose another player from the waiting list to be part of the tournament and you have to wait until the next tournament starts. I will ask from time to time who is ready or is interested in joining.

Q: Why no LINK monsters/format? (This question and its answer will be outdated with the beginning of the 3rd tournament which uses the "Linking Phoenix" card and allows from then on to play Link format.)
A: I have several reasons for that but before I will explain them, I want to tell you that this doesn't mean there will never be tournament in that format. Since there will be more than just one or two tournaments, I can still make both: Non-Link and Link Format. I will just alternate it then. At the current status the first two tournaments are in pre-link format while the third tournament will be maybe already then a tournament with LINK and the fourth one again without LINK while the fifth one would include LINK again and so on. I think you get it. Well now for the reasons I'm really not a huge fan of the LINK format at my tournaments. I hope you understand this, but like I said, this doesn't mean that I'm not able to organize some in LINK format:

  • Some of the custom archetypes have a lot of extra deck monsters and also need them and LINK monsters would take away needed Extra Deck space.
  • There is not even one custom archetype (not only count mine but also the custom card made by my subscribers as well) with a LINK monster (at the time I wrote this sentence here). The core of the custom card tournament is to use mainly custom cards and not just playing LINK format only so that you can use LINK monsters made by Konami.
  • Some custom archetypes spam a lot and with the use of LINK format that spam would get on a whole new level which would result in a hitting them to the custom card forbidden/limited list while they wouldn't have been hitted if it wasn't for LINK monsters.
  • Some archetype fail at their main stategy since the effects were made before the LINK rules were puplished and would need several erratas. For this I really don't have time. I have also a private life ^^"
  • Same goes for making new LINK cards only so that some of the archetypes are being playable again which can be avoid just by playing in non-LINK format.

I hope you understand now why I prefer playing without them, though I will still try to make it fair for both sides, the ones who want to play without and the ones who want to play with LINKs.

Q: Can be my cards in your tournament included, too?

A: If you have already scripted them and I've tested them for bugs, I can include them, yes. But don't forget that it might be that those card will either be on the custom card limited/forbidden list in future tournaments or if you want to, get an errata by you, to avoid a hit or come of of the list again. Though this hit only happens if your cards were played during a tournament and were really to OP. Otherwise you don't have to make erratas or being afraid of a hit.
